About the company

A well-established business based in Belfast is seeking a Newly Qualified Management Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified Accountant, or someone approaching qualification, who wants to take greater ownership of the monthly management accounts and gain broad exposure across a busy finance function. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced finance professionals and have the opportunity to develop their experience across reporting, budgeting, financial control and wider business projects. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals
• Revenue recognition, including accrued and deferred revenue
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Budget monitoring and variance analysis
• Financial and non-financial reporting to senior management
• Credit control and cashflow monitoring
• Supporting the external audit process
• Involvement in wider finance and corporate projects

Requirements:

• Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or finalist approaching qualification
• Strong Excel and general systems skills
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Professional services experience would be advantageous
